Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, CPAs announced that the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils recognized Jordon N. Rosen as an entrant into the Estate Planning Hall of Fame and as a recipient of the Accredited Estate Planner (Distinguished) designation for 2020.

The award was presented Dec. 2 by NAEPC leadership during a special virtual election ceremony.

Rosen is one of only seven estate planning professionals to receive this prestigious award in 2020, which is given annually in recognition of lifetime achievement and outstanding contributions to the practice and profession of estate planning within the professional disciplines of accounting, insurance and financial planning, law, philanthropy, trust services and academia.

“It would be convenient for me to say that all the hard work finally paid off, but when you enjoy what you are doing as much as I do and an honor like this is put upon you, it just becomes very special and humbling,” said Rosen. “I have been able to turn my passion of helping others into an extremely fulfilling career.”

Rosen provides tax consulting and compliance services to the firm’s higher net worth clients and business owners. He is the past president of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils and has served as president of the Delaware Estate Planning Council and the Chester County, Pennsylvania Estate Planning Council. Rosen is also a member of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce tax committee, the AICPA Trust, Estate and Gift Tax Technical Resource Panel, the AICPA Tax Reform Resource Task Force and the editorial board of Thomson Reuters Focus publication. As the Delaware ambassador of the Financial Literacy Foundation, Rosen has spearheaded October being proclaimed as Estate and Gift Planning Month in Delaware for the past two years.

“Congratulations to Jordon on this truly great achievement,” said BLS Managing Director Michael T. French. “He has been a stalwart in the estates and trust field, within our firm, our community and our industry throughout his career. One of his mentees, Karly Laughlin, recently said that she was ‘very lucky to have a mentor who is so highly respected in the field for not only being a technical expert, but also for making such significant contributions in enhancing the estate planning community.’ I speak on behalf of our entire firm in saying that we couldn’t agree more.”

“We are honored to elect Jordon as a member of the Estate Planning Hall of Fame Class of 2020,” said NAEPC President John P. Garniewski Jr. “Each member has excelled, not only in their own professional discipline, but is also recognized as an elite professional by other members of the estate planning community. In addition to Jordon’s own practice expertise, this honoree shares his knowledge with others nationally through writings and speaking engagements. We are grateful to him for the exemplary leadership exhibited throughout his career.”
