Goldey-Beacom junior Kasey Goshorn, of Salisbury, Maryland, and Mardela, was picked to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll for a second time this year.
Goshorn batted 3-for-6 with a double and three RBI in Goldey-Beacom’s doubleheader sweep of Mansfield on March 17. She had an RBI double in game one that put the Lightning on the board in a 7-6 win. Goshorn also had two hits with two RBI in game two, a 9-1 GBC triumph.
Goshorn is first in the league with a .560 on-base percentage, second with a .476 batting average, seventh with a .571 slugging percentage and 20th with six RBI. She opened the season with a five-game hitting streak, three short of her career high and has a hit in seven of the Lightning’s eight contests.
Goshorn got her first honor roll pick of the year Feb. 19 after batting .467 over six games in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, with a double and three RBI.
Goshorn was one of two for the squad a season ago who started 37 contests. She finished 21st in the league with nine doubles, 34th with a .321 batting average, 35th with a .473 slugging percentage, 43rd with 19 RBI and 44th with 36 hits.
