New music from Ginesse, Meg Mac, Anna of the North and Cheat Codes.
CHEAT CODES x AFROJACK - 'Ferrari'
Cheat Codes recently dropped a new song, "Feeling of Falling" featuring pop superstar, Kim Petras and today the group return with a huge tune, "Ferrari" ft. Afrojack. The song details that moment when you really mess up in a relationship and have to overcompensate to try and make it better. Cheat Codes, who are about to tour with Steve Aoki throughout the UK this Feb, recently remixed Aoki's collab with BTS, "Waste It On Me".
MEG MAC - 'Something Tells Me'
Soulful Australian songstress, Meg Mac arrives with the inspiring tune, "Something Tells Me" which is all about drowning out the noise those around you and figuring things out on your own. She explains- “I wrote ‘Something tells me” with Sarah Aarons. The song is about trying not to listen to the people around you but working out what you really want to do. I’ve made so many decisions and choices based on what other people tell me I should or shouldn't do. This song is about not doing that anymore”.
Meg Mac is about to embark on a headlining North American tour.
ANNA OF THE NORTH - 'Leaning on Myself'
Anna of the North is gearing up to premiere a brand new track ‘Leaning On Myself’, her first taste of new music since critically-acclaimed debut album ‘Lovers’. ‘Leaning On Myself’ marks a clean break from the past as much as it explores the unique way with melancholic, alternative pop that is unmistakably Anna of the North’s own. From the shimmering, Scandinavian electronica of her debut followed a period in LA, collaborations with the likes of Tyler, the Creator, and the musical and emotional transitions that are evoked in raw but assertive style on ‘Leaning On Myself’.
GINESSE - 'Bedford'
Cool girl/Emmy nominated actress turned singer Cait Fairbanks (she's on the soap "The Young And the Restless") has been releasing music under her new project Ginesse. When she's not acting or making music you can find her taking photos and listening to true crime podcasts and watching Investigation Discovery. Her debut song, "Bedford" just premiered at the end of last year- it was inspired by time spent in Brooklyn and "the bully-like nature of nostalgia after a relationship." Now, she arrives with the video which she conceptualized and co-directed with her brother. She explained what it's about - "I wanted the Bedford video to have an otherworldly feel to it, but with a strong foundation in reality. A collection of memories that feel attainable and familiar, shot through a dream-like lens."
MALLRAT - 'Nobody's Home'
The 20 year old Australian artist has a penchant for writing sticky melodies that you just can’t shake - her music has garnered attention from the likes of NY Times, NOISEY, Stereogum and more, including NPR- who said that the only downside to listening to her track, "Better" is that your heart may actually explode with happiness. PAPER Magazine recently named her in their "100 Women Revolutionizing Pop", and she also opened for Post Malone and Maggie Rogers. Having grown up in the sleepy town of Brisbane, Australia, Mallrat finds beauty in the mundane. With refreshingly honest observations of day-to-day life and her relatable and confessional lyrics layered over saccharine melodies, there's a slow-burning restlessness in her sound that is impossible to ignore - her songs perfectly encapsulate all the weirdness and wonder that comes with being a teenager.
GUARDIN - 'Solitary'
Music artist Guardin, who's on tour with Gnash and Mallrat, released the new video for "Solitary."
Guardin has 17 over million Spotify streams to date.
