Goldey-Beacom College junior Amanda McGrogan, of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and senior Corey Taite, of Sayreville, New Jersey, were named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Honor Roll for their team a third straight week.

McGrogan averaged 21 points on 13-of-24 shooting, 6.5 rebounds, four assists and two steals over two games. She scored 23 points Dec. 4 against Georgian Court on 6-of-12 shooting with four rebounds, three 3-pointers and three assists. McGrogan then had 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting with nine rebounds, five assists and three steals Dec. 8 in Goldey-Beacom’s 76-54 victory at Wilmington.

McGrogan is 13th in the country with 49 free throws, 40th with 24 steals, third in the league with 15.9 points per game, third with 35 assists and 13th with a 1.5 assist-to-turnover ratio.

Taite averaged 16.5 points on 12-of-23 shooting, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and two steals over two games. He scored 20 points Dec. 8 — including 18 in the second half — on 7-of-9 shooting with six rebounds and five assists in Goldey-Beacom’s 97-63 victory over Wilmington. Taite also had 13 points and seven rebounds Dec. 4 in his team’s 72-46 win vs. Georgian Court.

The reigning CACC Player of the Year and first team all-region pick is 18th in the country with 58 free throws, 39th with 21 points per game, 47th with an .892 free throw percentage and 68th with 1.9 steals per contest.

It is Taite’s fourth selection this season to the honor roll. He was tabbed Nov. 19 the league’s player of the week.

The men’s team is back in action at 7 p.m. Dec. 12 at New Haven. The women do not play again until 6 p.m. Dec. 19 against Jefferson.
