Christiana Care Health System will host a special program and panel discussion on building the pipeline of Delaware physicians through the Delaware Institute of Medical Education and Research, or DIMER program.
The program is set for 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Aug. 23 at John H. Ammon Medical Education Center, Christiana Hospital, 4755 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark..
DIMER provides support for Delaware residents to obtain a medical education at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Guests are to include Janice E. Nevin, president and CEO, Christiana Care; Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long; Karyl Rattay, director of the Delaware Division of Public Health; and Omar Khan, president and CEO, Delaware Health Sciences Alliance.
Current students and alumni of DIMER will be available for interviews from 6:15 to 6:45 p.m.
