Some dope new tunes to check out on Friday, July 27.

YOKE LORE - 'Ride' video + new EP, 'Absolutes'

After recently premiering the first song from the EP, "Fake You", and following with the gorgeously minimalistic track "Cut and Run", today, the Brooklyn based artist releases, "Ride". It's the final taste of the forthcoming 5 song EP "Absolutes," and arrives with a stunning visual accompaniment that premieres on OUT Magazine.

Directed by his brother, LGBTQ+ actor, Noah Galvin (star of Dear Evan Hansen and ABC's The Real Oneals), the video depicts an LGBTQ+ love story that sees star-crossed lovers eventually call it quits.

CHEAT CODES x LITTLE MIX - 'Only You' Acoustic

The trio Cheat Codes, along with Little Mix, released an acoustic version of the tune "Only You."

DEV09 - 'Bored'

Dev09 returns with new track, “Bored.” Growing up in a small town in rural Indiana, Dev always felt like an outsider — she spent her days playing guitar and performing in small venues and collecting tattoos, but it wasn’t until she was 18 that she packed her bags and moved to Los Angeles to be surrounded by people who embraced her individuality and to focus on her music. Her struggles in mental health ultimately led to a drug addiction that resulted in her admission to rehab. Now, Dev has been working on a new body of music that confronts her experiences with her mental health and her bipolar disorder, much like the new track, "Bored". Dev explained that the song is about; "Bored is a song I wrote when I was 18 & it’s about using another person for drugs & affection. A lot of people hear the song & think it’s emasculating, that it’s refreshing to see a role reversal with the woman in power... they say this as a compliment. I think that’s totally backwards. To me it sounds like a sad, vulnerable, insecure girl using a sad, vulnerable, insecure guy. Nobody wins. It’s a lit song though.“

EFRAIM LEO x NIGHTRO - 'You Got Me Wrong (Nightro Remix)'

Earlier this year, Efraim Leo debuted with “You Got Me Wrong,” featuring Juliette Claire. The electro pop tune pairs Leo's ice cool vocals over shimmering rhythmic synths for a undeniably haunting track. Out this week is a remix of the single by Nightro, a dj/producer duo from India and Peru. The two have remixed tracks for the likes of Hardwell, Martin Garrix, and Steve Aoki; they also had a release on Hardwell’s own record label, Revealed Recordings. The “You Got Me Wrong” remix incorporates Leo’s dreamy vocals with the trap stylings of Nightro, resulting in a lively rendition of the anthem about unrequited love.
