Sen. Chris Coons released a statement on reports that North Korea has transferred the remains of 55 American soldiers killed in the Korean War to the U.S. military on July 27.

“I’m pleased to hear that North Korea has transferred the remains of these American soldiers to the U.S. military and, ultimately, the families of those whose lives were lost during the Korean War,” said Coons. “The return of these remains has been a priority for the U.S. for decades, and I congratulate President Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo for facilitating this exchange.”
