First Presbyterian Church, 118 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, will offer programs for children ages 4-15 at its vacation Bible school, set to begin at 5:30 p.m. daily, July 30 through Aug. 2.

Each session will begin with supper in the Fellowship Hall, and evening activities will last until 8 p.m.

“Our program, ‘Survivor: Rescued by Jesus,’ will feature fun and memorable Bible-learning activities for a wide range of ages,” said the Rev. Doctor John Riley. “The children will sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, listen to Bible stories, learn Bible verses and complete craft projects that they can take home with them. The stories this year are all from the Gospel of Luke, describing how we can trust Jesus to rescue us from various troubles. We expect this event to be very effective.”
