The University of Delaware will present visiting guest artist Calidore String Quartet and quartet-in-residence Serafin String Quartet in concert at 8 p.m. April 26 in Mitchell Hall on the Newark campus, 210 South College Ave.

The concert concludes UD's Mendelssohn Festival, featuring works for string quartet by the celebrated the German composer. The quartets will perform Mendelssohn's “Octet for Strings.”

Concertgoers are encouraged to attend the pre-concert lecture with Mendelssohn scholar Marian Wilson Kimber, associate professor at the University of Iowa.

Tickets are $15 adults; $10 seniors and UDel staff and alumni; and $5 students.
