Thursday about 3:50 p.m., at the intersection of Barley Mill Road and Overbrook Road

Two people were hurt when a tree fell on their vehicle Thursday in Greenville.

At about 3:50 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics, the Hockessin Fire Company and the Elsmere Fire Company were dispatched to the intersection of Barley Mill Road and Overbrook Road for a report that a tree had fallen on a vehicle.

County paramedics found two people inside, according to Paramedic First Class Yvonne T. Russell.

The first patient, a 50-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital in stable condition by an Elsmere Fire Company ambulance.

The second patient, a 17-year-old boy, was taken to the hospital in stable condition by a Hockessin Fire Company ambulance. 

Both patients were accompanied by county paramedics.

The New Castle County Police Department is investigating the incident.
