A 'Queen' and princesses all live onstage.

1. Premier Queen tribute band Gary Mullen and The Works will soon rock northern Delaware. But if you don’t buy your seats ASAP, you’ll be on the outside looking in.

The Works has been around for nearly two decades and will deliver “One Night of Queen,” a show that’s averaged 150 performances per year over five years in a variety of countries. The band has been working its magic for nearly two decades.

“One Night of Queen” captures the lights, sound, pomp and showmanship to honor one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Queen is responsible for legendary hits such as “We Will Rock You,” “We Are the Champions” and “Love of My Life.”

Frontman Mullen is a lifelong Queen fan who bears a likeness to Freddie Mercury.

2. If the new live-action version of “Beauty and the Beast” wasn’t enough for you, you’ll want to consider Delaware Ballet’s production of the namesake show.

“Beauty and the Beast” the ballet will bring to life the world-famous fairytale in a fun new way. The ballet is a full-length production and filled with artfully designed sets, costumes and talented dancers.

3. “Once Upon a Mattress” is the real version of “The Princess and the Pea,” along with the untold parts that you’ve likely never heard.

For instance, did you know Princess Winnifred swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken’s love for Sir Harry provided a good reason for her to reach the bridal altar posthaste?

Did you know it wasn’t the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night?

Carried on by glorious songs and side-splitting shenanigans, “Once Upon a Mattress” offers a newly whimsical experience different from what you’ve previously heard about the fairytale princess.
