Store closed through March 8

If you live in Hockessin and you need a midnight Wawa hoagie fix, you’ll have to drive a little further for the next month.

According to a manager, the Hockessin Wawa, at the intersection of Yorklyn Road and Lancaster Pike, will be closed from Monday, Feb. 6 to March 8 for complete renovations.

The renovations will be similar to ones made at other area stores, most recently in Nottingham, Pa.

In the meantime, there are severeal other store locations in the Hockessin/Pike Creek area, with customers being directed to the New Linden Hill Rd. store.

Other nearby stores include the Kennett Square, Pa., Limestone Rd., and Capitol Trail locations, all of which are open 24 hours.

Wawa is a chain convenience store headquartered out of Pennsylvania. Founded in 1964, the company currently has 720-plus locations, with nearly 40 of those stores in Delaware.
