Nemours Children’s Health System announced Jan. 26 it has finalized an agreement for Nemours Biomedical Research to lease space at the DuPont Experimental Station, 200 Powder Mill Road, Wilmington.
Nemours will lease space in Building 400 on the DuPont Experimental Station Campus, which is located adjacent to Nemours/Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children and the Nemours Estate.
DuPont recently announced a $200 million commitment to the DuPont Experimental Station.
Nemours will lease the fourth and fifth floors in Building 400, about 85,000 square feet, which will provide space for the relocation of the Nemours Center for Childhood Cancer Research, Center for Orthopedic Research and Development, Center for Pediatric Lung Research, Center for Neuroscience Research, Regenerative Medicine Lab, Biomedical Engineering Research Program, Histotechnology Core Lab and Center for Applied Clinical Genomics.
About 68 Nemours scientists, clinical investigators, postdoctoral fellows and support staff will move into this facility. In addition, about 30 University of Delaware students and other area universities will participate in research programs using these facilities.
