Goldey-Beacom College recently promoted Alison Boord White to vice president for academic affairs.  

She will continue to oversee all academic affairs, faculty and curricula and will assume responsibility for the Hirons Library and Learning Center on Oct. 1, as well as the Office of Institutional Research and Training.

White has over 35 years of experience in her field. She joined the college in 1979 and has expanded the faculty and curricular offerings to meet a growing enrollment and promoted professional development of faculty. White has served as the academic dean, assistant academic dean, director of the Master of Business Administration Program, director of academic advisement and assistant director of admissions. She has also taught part-time at the college.

White holds a Bachelor of Arts in American studies from the University of Delaware and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in human resource management from GBC.

She has participated in peer reviews and evaluations of educational institutions for the Middle State Commission on Higher Education. She also serves on the P-20 Council for the State of Delaware.
