Second Lieutenant Steven Turner of Wilmington completed the support phase I and II course at Columbus Air Force Base in Mississippi.

Turner is part of the 106th rescue wing which operates rescue helicopters from its base in Westhampton Beach on eastern Long Island. The wing rescues American and allied personnel lost behind enemy lines.
