The Lightning dropped the first set 20-25, but then struck back to win three sets in a row.

The Goldey-Beacom College volleyball team defeated Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference foe University of the Sciences in Philadelphia Wednesday, Oct. 11.

The Lightning dropped the first set 20-25, but then struck back to win three sets in a row, 25-22, 25-11 and 25-21, to take the match.

Goldey-Beacom improved to 6-4 in the conference and 7-11 overall.

Freshman Breanne Haley (#28 in team photo) had 16 kills and 12 digs. Haley, from Elkton, Maryalnd, is a graduate of Rising Sun High School.

Senior Jax Babezki (#14) from Warrington, Pennsylvania notched 14 kills for the Lightning.

Freshman Sydney Fulton (#2) compiled 37 assists. Fulton, from Wilmington, is a graduate of Delaware Military Academy.

NEXT MATCH: Goldey-Beacom is on the road Friday, Oct. 13 at the College of Saint Rose in New York for a 7 p.m. match.
