The piece that speaks to Rosenbergs past but holds the hope of her future, is the one that hangs in the apartment that she shares with her husband George. It is a single bird flying among a field of flowers, inscribed with the words, There is a reason to life.I saw birds flying when I was in Auschwitz, and when they flew away, they gave me hope, she said.
