Despite overcast skies and the threat of showers, the streets stayed dry in Wilmington Saturday afternoon for the Wilmington Grand Prix. A few thousand locals lined the one-mile race course on King and Market streets, many enjoying some cool drinks and snacks at bars like Ernest & Scott Taproom and the Chelsea Tavern. Kelly Fisher-Goodwin, of Virginia, was the winner of the woman’s pro race. Jessica Prinner, of Illinois, took second while Massachusetts’ Mary Zider finished third. Fisher-Goodwin’s Fearless Femme Cycling Team took home top team honors. The men’s race was won by Luke Keough, also of Massachusetts. California’s Hilton Clarke took second while Pennsylvania’s Shane Kline finished third, making for a clean sweep of the podium by the winning team, United Healthcare.
