The Wreaths Across America convoy will make a local stop at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 13 at Caravel Academy, 2801 Del Laws Road, Bear.

With the help of volunteers, Wreaths Across America is working to fulfill its mission to “remember, honor and teach” through the annual laying of wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery. The wreaths' journey to Arlington has become a tradition in itself, allowing locals along the route to share in the emotional and educational experience as the WAA convoy passes through their hometown.

On Dec. 13, the parade of wreaths will be traveling from Philadelphia to Caravel Academy, where there will be a community remembrance ceremony.

The convoy to Arlington National Cemetery will depart from Harrington, Maine, and will travel down the East Coast stopping along the way to visit schools, veterans' homes, monuments and communities. The convoy will arrive in Arlington on National Wreaths Across America Day, Dec. 15, where it will be met by volunteers who will place wreaths for the individuals who served the country.
