Event Nov. 6 is closed to the public; however, tickets are available for another celebration, Diwali Dhamaka, on Nov. 3

The Hindu Temple of Delaware in Hockessin will hold its annual Diwali festival on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Temple, located at 706 Yorklyn Road.

The event is not open to the general public.

The Department of Transportation advises motorists to expect traffic delays on Yorklyn Road.

From 6 p.m to 10 p.m., DelDOT will restrict westbound Yorklyn Road traffic between Old Wilmington Road and Route 41/Lancaster Pike. Traffic will be detoured westbound on Yorklyn Road onto northbound Old Wilmington Road to Valley Road and then return to Route 41/Lancaster Pike.

DelDOT will post temporary detour signs and alert motorists of temporary traffic pattern with portable message boards, and DelDOT personnel will be on-site to assist with traffic management.

Tickets are available for the Diwali Dhamaka celebration on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m., for $7 online and $9 at the door.
