Lower Brandywine Presbyterian Church, 101 Old Kennett Road, Wilmington, will host its fourth annual Community Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 29.
Part of the church’s Vision 2020 Program, the free festival provides food and fellowship with events and activities particularly suited for families with children, including giant inflatable bounce houses; children’s train rides, face painter, children’s entertainers, balloon artist, magic act, games and crafts and live music.
The festival also spotlights the Calabrese Consort, performers from Kennett Square.
The Lower Brandywine Community Festival is also an environmental education opportunity, as the home of one of Delaware’s Pollinator Habitat Projects. In addition to the church’s pollinator garden, located adjacent to the festival, there will be an information table for students and adults who may be interested in this citizen science conservation project.
The festival will be held on the church grounds across from the sanctuary. Food and drink is also free.
