The Delaware Fund for Women, marking its 25th anniversary, will kick off its fall festivities celebrating the empowerment of women and girls in Delaware with a Fun(d) Feast Farm to Table Dinner from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at Fifer Orchards, 1919 Allabands Mill Road, Camden Wyoming.
Music by Ed Shockley of the Reminders, Wagon Rides around the orchard and food catered by La Vida Hospitality under a tent will be featured. Tickets are $125 per person, with discounts for groups and Young Founders.
The festivities will continue into October with the annual First Founders Breakfast from 7 to 9 a.m. Oct. 10 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison St., Wilmington. This year, special attention will be given to the 17 women who founded the Fund for Women in 1993. Tickets are $40 per person.
The celebration’s finale will be a Silver Tie Gala set for 7 to 11 p.m. Oct. 19 at Baywood Greens Clubhouse, 32267 Clubhouse Way, Long Neck. The gala will include dining and dancing to the music of DJ Nan. Tickets are $75 per person.
