The Delaware State Police are investigating a bank robbery that took place at the Prices Corner Wells Fargo branch, on Thursday afternoon.

According to police. the robbery happened around 4:05 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Wells Fargo bank, located at 3215 Old Capitol Trail, Wilmington.

The suspect approached an employee at the teller window and presented a demand note, instructing her to turn over money or she would be physically harmed, police said.

The employee complied with the demand by turning over an undisclosed amount money to the suspect, who then exited the bank. The suspect was last being seen fleeing eastbound from the bank on foot. The employee was not injured as a result of the incident.

The suspect was described as a black male with a dark complexion, 20-30 years of age, 6’1”, with a thin build, according to witness accounts.

No surveillance images are available at this time.
