The one-vehicle crash happened Tuesday afternoon on southbound I-95 at Churchmans Road.

One man was hurt in a crash on Interstate 95 near the Christiana Mall Tuesday afternoon.

At about 12:45 p.m., New Castle County Paramedics and personnel from the Christiana and Minquas fire companies were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on southbound I-95 at Churchmans Road.

Paramedics found one vehicle that had crashed into a guardrail. The driver, a man, was found confined to the vehicle, but was not trapped.

The driver was removed from the wreckage with the assistance of fire company personnel and was treated at the scene for a possible head injury and medical emergency, according to New Castle County Paramedics.

He was transported to Christiana Hospital by an ambulance from the Minquas Fire Company with a New Castle County Paramedic accompanying him. The patient was stable at the time of transport.

The Delaware State Police are investigating the crash.
