According to a press release from the New Castle County Paramedics, around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, paramedics and Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company were dispatched to the 100 block of Polly Drummond Hill Road for a pedestrian struck.
Upon arrival, paramedics found the patient, an 18-year-old male, in care of fire department personnel, the release states.
The patient suffered injuries to his leg and was transported to Christiana Hospital by Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company ambulance accompanied by New Castle County Paramedics. The patient was in serious condition at the time of transport.
Delaware State Police is investigating the crash, the release states.
Responding Agencies included the New Castle County EMS (Paramedics), Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company, and the DSP.
