The Delaware Department of Transportation’s Traffic Signal Construction Section, in conjunction with Kriss Contracting, are scheduled to begin work on converting the intersection signals from span to mast arm signals at the intersection of Milltown Road and Duncan Road in Wilmington.
Work is scheduled to begin Feb. 14 and is anticipated to be completed by May 7, pending weather. Intermittent daytime lane or shoulder closures will occur from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., Mondays through Fridays to accommodate construction activities.
The project will replace aged equipment with new equipment and upgrade to current standards. The pedestrian crossing will be improved, pedestrian signals will be installed and the project will be made compliant with American with Disability Act requirements.
