Goldey-Beacom College’s men’s soccer team saw junior Chahin Aghrim, of Bonn, Germany, picked first team College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America with junior Suhail Bismilla, of Johannesburg, South Africa, and senior Cameron Wilkinson, of Terrigal, Australia, each tabbed third team.

The awarding of these three brings the total of CoSIDA Academic All-Americas in school history to five, with Aghrim the first to gain first-team honors. They join Patrick McRae from golf in 2015 and Nina Sengl from women’s tennis last spring, both of whom were picked third team in the at-large category.

The five total honorees ranks sixth among the 14 schools in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference.

There were others on the squad who this season received awards. Senior defender Declyn Brown, of Glasgow, Scotland, was named first team all-league and second team CCA All-Region; senior midfielder Mateus Silvestre, of Picarras, Brazil, was picked first team all-league; and freshman midfielder Nicholas Ladeira, of Johannesburg, South Africa, was named the CACC Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
