Landis Rath & Cobb Associate Kimberly Brown was one of five finalists for the International Women's Insolvency and Restructuring Confederation 2017 Rising Star award.

Brown, the current chair of IWIRC’s Delaware Chapter, concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring and bankruptcy litigation representing chapter 11 debtors, official and unofficial committees, financial institutions, secured lenders and other secured creditors, indenture trustees and bondholders, asset purchasers, liquidating trusts and other significant creditors, chapter 15 foreign representatives and other parties in interest in a variety of national bankruptcy cases.

The award is bestowed upon a member with eight or fewer years of experience in their respective field who made contributions to their professional success and displayed a high-level of commitment to advancing IWIRC's mission — enhancing the professional status of women in the insolvency and restructuring profession — at the local, national and international levels.

Finalists were chosen from nominees from IWIRC networks around the world that include attorneys, bankers, turnaround advisers, claims and noticing agents and other restructuring industry consultants and professionals who are actively engaged in the restructuring industry.
