Goldey-Beacom’s Alanna Speaks, of Wilmington, was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Year.

Speaks also was picked first team all-conference; senior midfielder Amy Runciman, of Luton, England, was tabbed first team all-league for a second time; and senior defender Tanner Turner-Rush, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, was picked second team all-conference.

Speaks is 23rd in the country with 12 goals, 31st with 28 points, tied for fourth on the school’s single-season list in goals and fifth overall in points.

Runciman’s first-team nod in 2015 was accompanied by her being tabbed second team CCA All-East Region and third team NSCAA All-East Region that year before she was selected second team all-league a season ago. Her playmaking has her 79th in the country with eight goals and 87th with 20 points. Runciman also is second in school history with 83 points, fourth with 27 goals and second with 29 assists.

Turner-Rush, also a member of the basketball team, continues to be the backbone the defense. The soon-to-be three-time member of the CACC fall and winter academic honors rolls leads a defense that has notched three shutouts and has not permitted more than one goal 10 times.
