Food and culture part of the fun



The Delaware Korean United Methodist Church, 717 Lovelle Road, Hockessin will host its sixth annual Korean Food Festival on Saturday Oct. 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The annual food fair features a variety of Korean dishes handmade by volunteers and church members. Funds from the yearly festival go towards missionaries all around the world, as well as funding to their congregants for short term missions/relief trips. For more information, visit


Grace Lutheran Church, at 2033 Graves Rd, Hockessin, will host its 2017 DAART Tea and Talent Show on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 2 to 6 p.m.  People of all abilities are welcome to come and enjoy an afternoon snack and offer whatever talent you'd like to share. Past talent shows have featured various styles of entertainment, and any talent is welcome. Bring your own music on a CD or flash drive. Calling all Weekend Warriors: every third Saturday of the month at Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, 500 McKennans Church Road, Pike Creek, join the Phix-It Corp to help tackle small projects inside and outside of the church.  Volunteers gather at 8:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall to discuss projects for the day before getting started.  Projects needs and details will be posted ahead of time online.
