Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children recently was recognized for demonstrating the most sophisticated use of electronic health records.
The Health Information and Management Systems Society Stage 7 designation is achieved by 5 percent of hospitals in the U.S. and 1 percent in the world.
The designation is for inpatient and outpatient electronic health records. Reviewers from HIMSS Analytics assessed Nemours’ data warehouse, strategic analytics, disaster recovery and information security before issuing the revalidation. Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children first earned the designation in 2012.
