Author and college professor Bertram Ashe will hold a discussion and signing of his book “Twisted: My Dreadlock Chronicles” at 6 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Copeland Room of the Delaware History Museum, 504 N. Market St., Wilmington.

By deciding to grow his own dreadlocks, Ashe explores questions along with the reactions of strangers and family in “Twisted: My Dreadlock Chronicles.”

Ashe is an associate professor of English at University of Richmond. He earned an Master of Arts in English at Virginia Commonwealth University and a doctorate at the College of William and Mary. His research focuses on late 20th- and early 21st-century literature and culture.
