Santoshi Kandula, of Newark, and Jordan Peel, of Wilmington, were awarded scholarships from the eighth annual Dunkin’ Donuts Philadelphia Regional Scholarship Program.

Kandula is a recent graduate of the Newark Charter Senior High School, where she was a science olympiad and a member of math league and won National Gold for a science fair project. Also, she was a the captain of the women's tennis team at her school. She was also selected by Gov. Jack Markell as student ambassador of U.S.-China Strong Foundation. Kandula will attend the University of Pennsylvania, where she pursue a degree in bioengineering.

Peel is a recent graduate of Concord High School, where she was a National Merit Commended Student. Peel will attend the University of Delaware, where she will pursue a degree in mathematics.
