The Middletown Historical Society will present a free program on “Thomas Noxon: From New York to Noxontown” Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m., at the Historical Society, 216 N Broad St., Middletown.

The program will feature Dr. Bruce Bendler, adjunct professor at the University of Delaware, who will bring Thomas Noxon to life for Historical Society's monthly "Third Tuesday" event.

Most residents know of Noxontown Road and Noxontown Pond, but do they know the man behind the name?

The public is welcome to attend this free presentation in the Historical Society's community room.

Besides hosting the Olde Tyme Peach Festival, the Historical Society exists to provide our town with a place to remember who we are and where we have come from. Maps, photos, and 124 years of searchable digitized Middletown Transcripts are part of the collection available to all who are interested.
