Hockessin’s Postal Connections, 7209 Lancaster Pike, is rallying the community to send notes of thanks to the nation’s service men and women in honor of Valentine’s Day.

From Feb. 6 to 10, Postal Connections stores will serve as the main letter-writing sites for local residents, businesses and community members to write a quick note to military men and women thanking them for their service to the country. At the end of the weeklong campaign, the Hockessin Postal Connections store will send the letters to Operation Gratitude. The letters will be sent to various military bases across the U.S. and abroad in time for Valentine’s Day.

“Every day, the men and women who serve our country put their lives on the line for the love of their country,” said Fred Morache, chief operating officer of Postal Connections. “We are proud and grateful for the work that the troops do to protect us all; we’re hopeful that this small gesture of thanks will go a long way in showing them how appreciative the people of Hockessin are for their service.”
