A man who targeted residents for home improvement work in the state faces multiple fraud charges, according to the Delaware Department of Justice. On May 13, Mario Mareno, 49, was arrested by the First State Fugitive Task Force on four outstanding warrants for home improvement fraud from the Delaware State Police, the New Castle County Police and the Middletown Police Department.

The officers have been arrested on charges of smuggling drugs and cell phones to inmates in return for bribes at the Vaughn Correctional Center northeast of Smyrna.
