Started 54 years ago by the Women's Club of Odessa, the event features tours of historic homes and buildings, music, an antique show and sale, a craft sale, and holiday decorating demonstrations.

Started 54 years ago by the Women's Club of Odessa, Christmas in Odessa on Saturday featured tours of historic homes and buildings.

Proceeds from the event fund college scholarships for local high school seniors. With the help and cooperation of Odessa homeowners, the club has provided over 150 scholarships. In addition, the club has contributed to many community groups and projects.

Along with Saturday's tours, Christmas in Odessa included the Christmas Craft Shop, sales of freshly-cut greens for holiday decorations, demonstrations of wreath making and flower arranging using greens, an antique show and sale, concerts by First State Bell Ringers, an organ concert by Jeanne L. Hatton, Christmas carols by the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Choir and performances by the Newark Fife & Drum Corps.
