Bethany Wigfield, a third-year Delaware Law School student, received a 2015 Law Student Award from the Public Interest Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association.

The award is given to students from Philadelphia-area law schools who demonstrate a commitment to public service.

Wigfield, of State College, Pennsylvania, plans to take the North Carolina bar exam after she graduates from Delaware Law School with pro bono distinction in May 2016. She will pursue a career in family law in Charlotte.

Wigfield holds an undergraduate degree from Mansfield University, where she majored in history and political science. She is the daughter of Sandy and David Wigfield, of State College.
