  • The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced Tuesday the state-by-state winners of its inaugural High School Coach of the Year Award.
Caesar Rodney boys’ track & field head coach Mike Tucci along with Tatnall girls’ track & field coach Patrick Castagno were named coaches of the year for the state of Delaware by the USTFCCCA.
According to the release from the USTFCCCA’s Kyle Terwillegar, one boys and one girls coach from each of the 50 states were honored for their success during the 2014 track & field season, as selected by a committee of experts from around the nation.
The winners from each state are in consideration for the association’s first-ever National High School Coach of the Year award. The award winners will be selected by a panel of track & field experts, and announced later this month.
