  • The Saint Mark’s Athletic Department announced today that Kayla Miller, former Blue Hen womens’ basketball star, will be the new head girls’ basketball coach for the Saint Mark’s Spartans.
“I am extremely excited to join the Saint Mark's community and take on the role as head coach of the girls’ varsity basketball team,” said Miller after the hiring. “Basketball has always been a big part of my life and I couldn't think of a better place to be to share my love and passion for the game.”
“Coach Fiorelli was an incredible coach, and I look forward to continuing the tradition that he has built at Saint Mark's both on and off the floor,” said Miller. “ I have big shoes to fill, but with the incredible support of the administration and the rest of the Saint Mark’s community, I believe that this is the perfect fit for me.”
“I am honored that I can now call myself a Spartan and anxious to get in the gym with the girls. I look forward to teaching the girls valuable lessons about basketball, but also valuable lessons in life,” Miller continued. “I am thrilled with the opportunity Saint Mark's has given me and I look forward to giving the school a girls’ basketball program that will make everyone proud to be associated with the green, gold and white.”
An event to formally announce her hire and to pass the torch from John Fiorelli to Miss Miller is in the works for a date in the very near future. Be sure to stay tuned!
