  • The Music School of Delaware Anthony G. Simmons Benefit Concert will be held at 7 p.m. April 30 at Wilmington Branch: 4101 Washington St.
    Simmons, a founding member of the quartet, was tragically killed in a car accident Feb. 24, 2005 at age 38. The concert will feature an all French program with performances by Serafin String Quartet; Lotus Cheng, piano; Lynne Cooksey, flute; and Jennifer Stomberg, cello. The program includes Leclair Sonata for Two Violins in e minor, Op. 2, No. 5; Debussy String Quartet in g minor, Op. 10; and Farrenc Trio in e minor, Op. 45 for flute, cello and piano.
    Cost: $10 adults; $5 for seniors/students. The proceeds will benefit the Anthony G. Simmons scholarship.
