Stephen Colbert, the heir to the Late Show throne, stopped by the CBS late-night show Tuesday to talk about his upcoming gig and to thank his predecessor, David Letterman.

"You look right at home," Letterman told his guest. "Obviously I'm thrilled and honored to be taking over for you," Colbert said.
