  • Troopers Investigate Strong Arm Robbery in Bear Parking Lot

  • Troopers are investigating a strong arm robbery that occurred yesterday evening in the parking lot of the ShopRite, 1101 Governors Place.
    The incident occurred at 9:24 p.m. when the victim, a 29-year-old Middletown man, exited the ShopRite and was walking through the parking lot. He was approached by a black male suspect who demanded the victim's wallet and tried to reach in one of the victim's jacket pockets.
    The victim pulled away and the two engaged in a brief struggle. The suspect punched the victim, knocking the victim's glasses off of his face. The suspect then picked up the glasses and fled. He was unable to take the victim's wallet.
    The victim suffered a minor injury and did not require medical treatment at the scene.
