Speakers scheduled to attend are State Sen. Patricia Blevins, State Rep. Kimberly Williams, and Alan Levin, Director of the Delaware Economic Development Office.
The congregation invites the public to come out and learn about the issues in the upcoming legislative session, and to voice their opinions.
Levin will discuss state plans for the former General Motors site on Boxwood Road and other economic and job developments.
The program will then be open for a Q&A session.
Refreshments will be supplied by the church, and Boy Scout Troop 54 will lead the opening ceremony.
Cedars Church is located on North Harrison Avenue off of Newport Gap Pike, at Maple Avenue, one block behind the Shell station, just south of Faulkland Road and Brandywine Springs Park.
Reservations are encouraged to help organizers plan for seating and refreshments. Please call 994-2664 or email cedarsumc@verizon.net with “attn: Bill Taylor” in the subject line.
