  • Troopers Investigate Attempted Robbery of Claymont Convenience Store

  • Police are seeking a white male, 30-40 years old, approximately 5'7" tall, 160-180 lbs., with a full beard (no further physical or clothing description available)

  • Troopers are investigating an attempted robbery that occurred yesterday evening at the Wawa, 301 Ridge Road.
    The incident occurred at 7:59 p.m. when a white male suspect entered the store and brought a small piece of merchandise to a 55-year-old female cashier. When the cashier opened the register, the suspect stated he had a gun and attempted to grab the money in the cash drawer, but the cashier closed the register. The suspect then fled.
    No one was injured during this incident.
