  • Cate Blanchett continued her awards season dominance at the BAFTA Film Awards in London Sunday night, and dedicated her Best Actress win to her friend and Talented Mr. Ripley co-star Philip Seymour Hoffman.
"I would like to dedicate this to an actor who has been a continual, profound touchstone for me, a monumental presence who is now so sadly in absence - the late, great Philip Seymour Hoffman," the Blue Jasmine star said as she accepted her award. "Phil, buddy, this is for you, you bastard. Hope you're proud."

12 Years A Slave won Best Film, and star Chiwetel Ejiofor also took home the prize for Leading Actor. But Gravity led all films with six prizes, including Best British Film and Best Director for Alfonso Cuaron.
Supporting Actor and Actress awards went to Captain Phillips' Barkhad Abdi and American Hustle's Jennifer Lawrence, respectively.
