Gov. Jack Markell lifted the State of Emergency level one driving ban at 10 a.m. this morning.
A statement issues by the Governor's office encouraged travelers to continue to use caution, as some roads were still covered in ice or snow.
Crews from the Delaware Department of Transportation continue to work to clear roads, but that the low temperatures that are expected for the next several days hinder the effectiveness of the salt DelDOT uses to treat roads, according to the statement.
"If you have to go out on the roads today, please drive slowly and carefully," Markell said. "Hundreds of DelDOT employees have worked through the night and morning to improve road conditions, but snowy and icy spots still exist and drivers should exercise caution."
