  • The Hockessin Business Association sponsored three days of events for Halloween in Hockessin including trick-or-treating at local businesses on the "Candy Cane Trail" on Saturday.
On Friday, Gateway Garden Center kicked off the weekend with their Jack O' Lantern Jamboree from dusk to 8 p.m. Visitors were invited to take a spooky walk through haunted woods filled with lit pumpkins carved by staff, local artists, Hockessin businesses, and creative children. The evening included roasting marshmallows over a bonfire and enjoying seasonal refreshments.
Today, the Howling Hounds Pet Parade started at Wild Birds Unlimited and ended at the Hockessin Animal Hospital where there was a pet costume contest with prizes, followed by refreshments.
