The Peter Kate Boutique's commitment to community involvement continues this weekend with its Columbus Day Sale. Patrons are invited to trade in old garments for new ones while helping out the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.

October is breast cancer awareness month and the Peter Kate Boutique in Greenville is doing its part to be part of the breast cancer solution in Delaware.

Starting today, customers are encouraged to bring in gently worn clothing to receive 20 percent off of fall items. The items brought in will then be donated to Great Stuff Resale Boutique, a Breast Cancer Coalition Delaware-affiliated shop.

Every fall, more and more people champion the cause for breast cancer awareness and Peter Kate co-owner Sissy Harris wanted to participate.

"With October being breast cancer awareness month, I thought it would be a good opportunity and a nice way to give back to the community," Harris explained.

Only one sale item per customer will be allowed and the discount only applies to full-priced items. However, many fall favorites are already discounted 25 percent, including Rebecca Taylor, Theory, Vince Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Loeffler Randall and Botkier. Brands excluded from the sale include MZ Wallace, Stuart Weizman, Paul Green and Aquatalia.

The sale will continue through Monday, Oct. 14. For more information, visit Peter Kate online, on Facebook or on Twitter.
