Delaware schools who want their spelling bee champions to be eligible to participate in the state final for the Scripps National Bee must register by Oct. 15.

St. Mark's High School in Wilmington will be the site of the annual grade 4 to 8 Delaware Spelling Bee March 1. Dave Skocik from Dover will return as official word pronouncer, a role he has filled since 1990.
Registering on the Scripps National Bee automatically registers schools for the Delaware bee. It is open to all schools across the state, including public, private, and home schools. Delaware's winner will be provided a spot at the Scripps National Bee in Washington, D.C. in May 2014.
